WiseGem Young People's Project

WiseGem is a community based organisation which aims to provide better quality of life for Southwark’s diverse communities through working in the interest of pregnant young people, Parents and their families.

We educate young people on the impact of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.

We also aim to help young people to make informed choices about their sexual health and Education. In addition, we target parents of young people as they play a more major role in the lives of their Children.

WiseGem's objectives are to:
  • Empower young parents to ensure better outcomes for them and their children.
  • Provide prenatal and parenting classes for teenager
  • Provide link and support to Housing, Benefit, Education and Health support services for young parents
  • Empower young people with better sex & relationship education
  • Provide Parents( adults in the Community) Forum to help communication in the family
  • Provide better quality of life for Southwark’s diverse communities example healthy eating workshop, health Community participation, trips Tenant and residents Participation for community members etc.
  • Promote and Campaign on awareness, prevention of Sexual health issues and unplanned teenage pregnancy in school and community.
